One of the required\ncourses, ‘Practical Training in Psychology’ involves role-playing simulated\npsychological interviews, which traditionally rely on students’ experiences, potentially\ncausing emotional distress and limiting case diversity.\nObjective: To address these challenges, this study explores the use of generative AI\nto create diverse simulated cases, thus enhancing the educational experience without\ncompromising students’ emotional well-being.\nMethods: The paper discusses the application of AI tools like Microsoft Copilot in\ngenerating cases for university-level ‘Practical Training in Psychology.’ It evaluates the\neffectiveness of these tools in creating realistic and varied scenarios that align with the\nfive main fields targeted by Licensed Psychologists.\nResults: The AI-generated cases provided rich, varied content, demonstrating the\npotential of AI to overcome the limitations of manually created cases by humans and to\noffer a broader range of scenarios for students’ role-play.\nConclusion: This study concludes that generative AI can be a valuable asset in\npsychological education, offering a way to produce diverse and realistic cases while\nsafeguarding student welfare.
