This\npaper discusses the focus and forefront issues of translation research, as well as future\ntrends to be noted. Firstly, there is a need for a diachronic perspective on the essential\ncharacteristics of translation. Secondly, cognitive studies of translation. Thirdly,\nresearch on translation education. Fourthly, the issue of foreign language translation\nand dissemination of Chinese discourse. Fifthly, research on the history of translation.\nFurthermore, in order to deepen the research on foreign language translation and\nconstruct a translation theory with Chinese elements, several studies need to be\ncompleted. Firstly, strengthening systematic research based on the process of literary\ntranslation introduction and translation generation. Secondly, deepening research on\ntranslators, especially the exploration of translator subjectivity. Thirdly, strengthening\nresearch on language and aesthetic dimensions. The most important thing is to\nestablish a correct view of the history and values of translation.
