 note = {There have been some profound changes in the language used in the visual media in Japan, especially in TV news programs. This paper shows that those linguistic phenomena can be related to the fact that a lot of TV news programs have been changed to be similar to entertainment programs in recent years. Additionally, by comparing different news items of one news program, I show that there are some parts where the linguistic phenomena appear more often than other parts of the news program. Also, I examine one linguistic phenomenon which seems to appear in only one part of the news program.},
