The use of intransitive and transitive verbs in the Japanese language is one of the difficult grammatical rules for Japanese learners, and it is considered to be one of the items which is easily confused. This is because that some languages make no distinction between the intransitive and transitive verbs, like the Japanese language do. So it is difficult to understand the concept itself of the intransitive verb and transitive verb. In addition, the concept of intransitive and transitive verbs is explained using English grammar in various textbooks. But this does not agree properly. Furthermore, the differences in form and meaning of intransitive and transitive verbs are insisted, and the use of the particle is mainly introduced in the beginner's class. So the difference in concept of intransitive and transitive verbs is hardly explained. Also, the use of intransitive and transitive verbs is shown whether an intention-like act is included, or an intention-like act is not included. However, the usage of intransitive or transitive verbs depends on whether you place a viewpoint in a thing, the matter or person. It is very important to learn the concept of the difference between the intransitive and transitive verb at the early stage, but there seems to be very few appropriate teaching materials because it is difficult to include it in the teaching materials. Therefore, the problems of how to effectively introduce the concept of intransitive and transitive verbs were considered, and finally, this study proposed the possibility of using teaching materials which can express the concept of intransitive and transitive verbs using pictures as shown from the Japanese language speaker’s viewpoint.}, title = {「自動詞」・「他動詞」の教材作成についての一考察}, year = {2011}, yomi = {ヨコタ, タカシ} }
