It was demonstrated that the sense of \"place\"\ncontinuing from the late Edo period, so-called \"seken\", remained at least until the late\nMeiji period. And the future direction of \"seken\" research was also clarified through\nthis consideration result. For a Japanese who does not have monotheism, such as the\nWest, human relations are the ones that acknowledge the self, and when they touch\nother people and new values who have never met before, their awareness and anxiety\nIt is to return to \"seken\" by cause.
