| 内容記述 | We measured the albumin excretion rate in the 24-hour urine as well as examined the correlation between the urinary creatinine concentration and albumin index with regard to age and sex in 1,280 diabetic patients. The results showed that daily urinary creatinine excretion overall in males, overall in females, in males over 80 years old and in females over 80 years old were 1.063 ± 0.428 g/day (mean ± S.D.), 0.714 ± 0.270 g/day, 0.666 ± 0.201 g/day, and 0.531 ± 0.017 g/day, respectively, which showed large variations. From these results, creatinine correction, in which uniformity of daily urinary creatinine excretion is the principle, is useful for assessment of short-term fluctuations in the individuals. However, it is indicated that there is a problem when used for screening, from young people to the elderly. |

| 内容記述 | 〔査読有り〕の原著論文 我々は1280例の糖尿病患者において24時間蓄尿によるアルブミン排泄率の測定と同時に尿中クレアチニン濃度とアルブミン指数の相関性を年齢、性別に分けて検証した。その結果、1日尿中クレアチニン排泄量は男性全体（平均±SD）1.063±0.428g/day、女性全体（同）0.714±0.270g/day、80歳以上男性（同）0.666±0.201g/day、80歳以上女性（同）0.531±0.0171g/dayと大きな変動を認めた。この結果は、1日尿クレアチニン排泄量の均一性を原則としたクレアチニン補正は、個人における短期間の変動評価には有用であるが、若年者から高齢者を含めたスクリーニングに用いる場合の問題を示していると考えられる。 |
